According to the updated data, eight people were killed (including a child, a citizen of the Republic of Belarus), 27 people were injured as a result of head-on collision between two passenger buses, which occurred in morning of July 11 on the highway M-19 linking Lutsk - Kovel near the village of Volia-Liubytivska,Kovel district, Volyn region, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine press office informs.
 
Victims were hospitalized in Kovel central hospital (of which - 21 citizens of the Republic of Belarus). Other participants of the accident were taken to a mother and child sanatorium "Turia" in Kovel, where they are given the necessary help.


The Emergency Service reported that the bus transported 50 citizens of the Republic of Belarus on holiday in Bulgaria, among them - 40 young people aged up to 16 years, 8 adults and 2 drivers. The second bus was carrying passengers along the route Lutsk - Shatsk. According to the bus station "Lutsk," 8 tickets were sold for this route, but the total number of passengers set as the bus was traveling was more than 20 people.
 
 Meanwhile, the Bulgarian Embassy in Ukraine clarified that one of the buses was a Bulgarian one. The killed drivers were citizens of Bulgaria.

The bus was traveling from Minsk to the Bulgarian resort.
