Ukraine, as a buyer and a transporter of natural gas, will defend its position on the energy market, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said during the government meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.
"The government fulfilling the decree of the President has organized the supply of cheaper gas from Europe. Ukraine, as a buyer and a transporter of gas, will continue to defend its position on the energy market," he said.
Azarov reminded that Ukraine has started the most extensive cooperation in the country's history with the world leaders of oil and gas industry.
