United States Ambassador to Ukraine John Tefft said that next U.S. Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt will arrive in Ukraine in August of 2013.
According to Tefft, the U.S. Senate has approved Pyatt’s candidacy on Tuesday, July 9.
"As you know the Senate has affirmed his candidacy. He [Geoffrey Pyatt] is yet to carry out certain tasks in the U.S.," Tefft told journalists in Kyiv on Wednesday, Interfax-Ukraine reported.
"I am most likely to leave the country on July 29 and we expect him to arrive here in August," the diplomat said.
