The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry promises to facilitate getting of visas by tourists from Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova, Bulgarian foreign minister Kristian Vigenin said on Monday, Ukrinform reports.
"Over recent years, a positive trend has been observed toward an increase of tourists from Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova. And we are now working over simplification of the process on the issue of visas to citizens of those countries," he said.
The minister reminded that at the beginning of 2012, Bulgaria concluded an agreement with the Indian company VFS Global on setting up visa centers, which should simplify getting of visas in the regions, distant from the Consulates. The Bulgarian MFA this year will thoroughly examine fulfillment of the agreement, analyze positive and negative sides of the new visa centers work.
"Accreditation of the companies was held in those three countries, which could independently submit documents to Consular services for the receipt of Bulgarian visas. At the end of June, and then from July 1, I instructed to increase quotas for such companies. The MFA holds monthly statistics of the issue of visas in those countries and helps speeding up work and timely solving the emerging problems," Vigenin said.
