Ukraine closely follows the events in Egypt and calls on all parties to show restraint and resolve the situation by peaceful means with the participation of all political forces in the country, special representative of Ukraine for the Middle East and Africa Hennady Latiy stated, the Foreign Ministry press service informs.
According to the report, Latiy met with the Ambassador of Egypt in Ukraine Osama Tawfiq Badr at his request on July 8.
During the meeting they discussed the latest developments in the Arab Republic of Egypt and the prospects for resolving the political situation in the country.
Egypt is now going through an acute political crisis, which results in clashes on the streets of different cities of the country, demanding the resignation of President Mursi.
