Situation with the occurrence of fires in the ecosystems of Ukraine is fully controlled, deputy director of the rescue forces department of the Emergency Service of Ukraine Mykola Chechetkin told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
"As of today, we had 491 fires in forest areas of Ukraine. This is twice less than in the previous year. The area of these fires decreased by 6.5 times compared to the previous year," he said.
Chechetkin stressed that a number of additional measures was taken to prevent the occurrence of fires in the ecosystems, particularly, in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
