During a working visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan, OSCE chairperson-in-office, foreign minister of Ukraine Leonid Kozhara discussed with President Ilham Aliyev ways to enhance the negotiation process in the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement, the Foreign Ministry press service informs.

Kozhara informed Aliyev about the efforts of the OSCE Ukrainian Chairmanship in promoting peaceful resolution of the longest conflicts in the OSCE area.

In the context of discussions on a bilateral component, the parties expressed satisfaction with the high level of Ukrainian-Azerbaijani relations having strategic character, and exchanged views on promising areas of cooperation between the two friendly countries.

In this regard, particular attention was paid to the issues of cooperation in the energy, transportation, construction, aerospace and commercial sectors.

In order to specify the promising areas of bilateral cooperation, the parties reaffirmed its readiness to hold in Kyiv the tenth meeting of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation between Ukraine and Azerbaijan in the autumn of this year, on the eve of the official visit of President of Azerbaijan to Ukraine next.
