The Central Election Commission appointed Andriy Mahera as acting chairman of the Commission.
As ForUm learned from the Central Election Commission press service, the decision was taken July 4, at the meeting of the Central Election Commission, chaired by deputy chairman of the Commission Zhanna Usenko-Chorna.
"In connection with the decision of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on termination of powers of the chairman of the CEC, Commission after discussion, by its legal decision authorizes deputy chairman of the Central Election Commission Andriy Mahera to perform duties of the acting chairman of the Central Election Commission before election of the CEC member to this post," the statement reads.
