Ukraine has called on Brazil to find funding for the continuation of the Cyclone-4 project, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said this at a meeting with Brazilian Foreign Minister Antonio Patriota, Ukrinform reports.
"Cyclone-4-Alcantara is really successful project of our cooperation. Successful implementation of this project will enhance the credibility of both your and our country. In this difficult situation, the Ukrainian government has decided to attract credit resources for the project. We hope that the Brazilian side will use all opportunities to continue funding for its part of the project," he said.
According to the head of the government, the sixth meeting of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Brazilian commission will contribute to the revitalization of bilateral relations. "It is extremely important to hold the sixth meeting of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Brazilian Commission, and we are ready to set a date for such a meeting," Azarov noted.
He stated that Ukraine-Brazil cooperation is also promising in the pharmaceutical industry, military-technical, cultural and scientific fields.
Azarov also invited President of Brazil Dilma Rousseff to visit Ukraine. In his view, such a visit could take place during the participation of the Brazilian president in a meeting of G-20, which will be held in St. Petersburg. At the same time, the prime minister accepted the invitation of the Brazilian foreign minister to visit his country.
