Ukraine is set to fulfill all commitments under the Action Plan for signing the Association Agreement during the Vilnius summit of "Eastern Partnership" in November of this year, President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych said, the President’s press service informs.

"We look forward to the upcoming summit to be held in November this year. We intend to fulfill all the requirements, put forward to Ukraine" Yanukovych told a joint press conference after the meeting of the presidents of the Visegrad Group and Ukraine in town of Wisla.

The President expressed confidence that the vast majority of the European integration laws will be adopted this plenary week.

"We fully understand that that agenda, approved by Ukraine and the European Commission, should be done before November. The vast majority of laws will be passed this week," he said.

However, he noted that some laws are in need of expert assessment, including those of the Venice Commission. In particular, according to Yanukovych, it concerns the law on the prosecutor's office. These laws may be adopted at the beginning of the next session of Parliament in September.

The President also noted the importance for Ukraine of support of the "Visegrad Four" in the implementation of the European aspirations.
In turn, President of Poland Bronislaw Komorowski said that during the summit Yanukovych told about the implementation of Ukraine's commitments in the context of the Association Agreement with the EU.

Polish President also informed that the presidents touched upon the issue of the ex-prime minister Yulia Tymoshenko. "On behalf of all the presidents of the Visegrad Group, I am pleased to say that Mr. Yanukovych is looking for ways to solve this problem according to Ukrainian legislation, or by amending the legislation," Komorowski said.
