The national gas company Naftogaz Ukrainy in the third quarter of 2013 is buying Russian natural gas at a price of $400 per 1,000 cubic meters, Ukraine’s Energy and Coal Industry Minister Eduard Stavytsky said at a briefing on Wednesday, Interfax informs.
“With regard to pricing under a contract between Naftogaz and Gazprom for the third quarter, it (the price) is approximately $400 [per 1,000 cubic meters],” he said.
The minister pointed out that the natural gas coming from Europe costs some $30 less per 1,000 cubic meters.
