President of the Federative Republic of Brazil Dilma Rousseff may pay official visit to Ukraine this year, foreign minister of Ukraine Leonid Kozhara told journalists after meeting with Brazilian foreign minister Antonio Patriota, ForUm correspondent reports.
"We hope that this year will be the year of contacts at all levels, including the highest one. We expect the visit of the President of Brazil to Ukraine. We also discussed (in the negotiations - Ed.) the reopening of the Intergovernmental Commission. I currently have an invitation from my colleague to visit Brazil. Maybe it will happen next year," he said.
At the same time, the minister did not mention the exact date of the visit of the Brazilian President in our country, stressing that at this point the two parties are still working on its definition.
"We have discussed the date of possible arrival. The visit of the Brazilian President is dependent on many factors, including the opportunity to visit G20 summit in St. Petersburg in September this year. So this may happen earlier, or on some other date," Kozhara noted.
