The National Bank of Ukraine introduced a series of commemorative coins, issued to mark the 1025th anniversary of the Baptism of Kievan Rus, ForUm correspondent reports.
Coins were unveiled by deputy governor of the National Bank of Ukraine Vira Rychakovska.
"Today we put in circulation a series of coins to celebrate the 1025th anniversary of the Baptism of Kievan Rus. This event is a milestone in the life of our country, so we have a very responsible attitude to the release of these coins," she said.
Three types of coins are put in circulation: made of gold, silver and German silver.
