Interior minister ordered to dismiss head of the Mykolayiv regional office of the Interior Ministry Valentyn Parseniuk and head of Vradiyivka district police office from their posts, the press service of the Interior Ministry informs.
This decision was taken due to the fact that information about an attack on a local female resident, presented by local policemen to senior management in the Interior Ministry, was not full, so it prevented from quickly solving the situation and led to riots, the report said.
Internal investigation has been launched. Officers of major subdivisions of the Interior Ministry work in Vradiyivka now.
As reported, a policeman and a taxi driver were arrested on June 28 on suspicion of rape, robbery and causing grievous bodily harm in town of Vradiyivka of Mykolayiv region. One more policeman is suspected of involvement in a crime.
