Azarov: Constitution of 1996 marked beginning of new era

Prime Minister Mykola Azarov congratulated Ukrainians on the Constitution Dayof Ukraine, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reports.

"Dear compatriots! I sincerely congratulate you on the Day of the Constitution - a national holiday, which represents a new page in the history of our sovereign democratic state," the message reads.

According to the Prime Minister, the Constitution of 1996 marked the beginning of a new era, laid the foundations for the economic, social and spiritual transformations, and next year, the citizens of the same age will have the right to vote and have the opportunity to build a state, in which they and their descendants will live.

"I wish everyone peace and harmony in a responsible way of development of our state!" the  congratulatory message says.
