Bulgaria positively evaluates the prospects of Ukraine's accession to the EU, Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria Petar Tanev told ForUm correspondent, commenting the statements of some EU politicians that Ukraine is not ready to sign an Association Agreement with the EU.
He noted that such statements should not be considered as criticism, but as advice and reason to draw conclusions.
Counselor of the Embassy reminded that Ukraine should adopt amendments to the legislation in some areas to get guarantees for the signing of the Association Agreement with the EU.
At the same time, talking about the attitude of Bulgaria to the European aspirations of Ukraine, Tanev said that his country has been very friendly to the Ukrainian party from the start of negotiations on Association.
