
Thus, 42% of respondents support integration in the European Union, 31% of respondents stand for the Customs Union, while 13.5% of respondents believe Ukraine does not need either of them.
The survey also shows that EU integration is supported mostly by young people. Thus, 54% of respondents between 18 and 30 years of age stand for the EU, while citizens of older age (60 and older) prefer the Customs Union - 45%.
Moreover, EU integration is mostly supported in western and central regions of Ukraine - 72% and 49% respectively, while south and east traditionally prefer the Customs Union - 49% and 50%.
"Democratic initiatives" held the survey in May 17-20 and interviewed 2010 respondents from all regions of Ukraine. Theoretical error makes 2.3%.
