Russia’s Gazprom is surprised at accusations of blocking natural gas supplies from Europe to Ukraine, Gazprom's official representative Sergey Kupriyanov said in an interview with the radio station Echo of Moscow.
"Some buyers think they can become suppliers of gas to Ukraine, but they forget that under the contract they should receive the gas on their territory, but not somewhere else," he said.
"I’ve got no idea why they think this is blocking [by Gazprom of gas shipments from Europe to Ukraine]. If they want to transport gas in the opposite direction, let them do it, but if there is no pipeline, there is nothing to wish," Kupriyanov said, Interfax reported.
