By his decree, the President approved the National Strategy of Developing Education until 2021, the press service of the head of state reported.
The strategy aims to improve the quality and competitiveness of education in the new economic, social and cultural conditions and accelerate the integration of Ukraine into the European educational space.
The document specifies main directions of implementation of conceptual ideas of education development determined by the National Doctrine of Developing Education.
It is expected that the implementation of the National Strategy will improve the quality of national education, its innovative development under global standards that would facilitate significant growth of intellectual, cultural, spiritual and moral potential of society and individual.
The head of state also instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to develop and approve within a month a plan of actions on implementation of the National Strategy.
