
This year, the gross harvest of cereals, legumes and groats crops will reach 53 million tons, according to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, director of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Mykola Kulbida told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to Kulbida, corn will make the largest contribution to the total yield, and according to the forecasts, it will be harvested in the amount of 24 million tons. He noted that the average corn yield is very high and amounts to 51 quintal per hectare, and the winter wheat will be collected in the amount of 19.1 million tons.
At the same time, the director of the Hydrometeorological Center said that as of today, the meteorological conditions in Ukraine are very different.
