In the next three years, housing prices in Ukraine will not rise, head of the Union for Realtors of Ukraine Oleksandr Rubanov said during a round table, ForUm correspondent reports.

The expert stressed that before the crisis of 2009, the demand for housing was kept mainly by mortgage lending.

According to him, the loans explained the growth of real estate purchases in new buildings.

Today, according to the expert, nearly 60% of transactions are carried out on the secondary market, where prices are not expected to increase. He added that in the near future, the demand for apartments with modern layouts and communications will appear again due to the new proposals.

He said that the economic crisis in Ukraine will continue during another three years, and the house prices may rise only after 2017.
