Ukrainian racing driver Vadym Nesterchuk died during training in the desert in the United Arab Emirates. As Ukrainian TV channel reports, the athlete died of dehydration.

The incident happened in one of the largest deserts of the world Rub’ al Khali. Nesterchuk’s car got stuck in quicksand, then the racer together with the assistant by the name of Ali tried to dig it out, but it turned out nothing.

Then the Ukrainian went for the help, however in the desert he died. The agency doesn’t report where exactly Nesterchuk went.

The racer is the founder and one of pilots of the first Ukrainian Sixt Ukraine team which acts in rally raids. Besides, Nesterchuk headed more than ten years the Optima-leasing company, engaged in a car rental. Also he was the owner of Paris — Dakar restaurant in Kiev. The athlete was 42 years old, he still had wife and two children.
