This year will be significant for Ukraine to decide on participation or non-participation in the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, head of the Euro-Asian Economic Commission (EEC)Viktor Khristenko told in n interview with "Russia 24" TV channel.

"I think the year of 2013 will be decisive. Ukraine has to chose the side, because in the modern world one can be heard only if belongs to a strong group or structure," Khristenko said and added that Ukraine is still among the countries which have to take a position regarding joining various integration structures, and Customs Union in particular. 

As a reminder, on May 31 in Minsk, Ukraine's PM Mykola Azarov and EEC chairman of Viktor Khristenko signed a memorandum on strengthening cooperation between the EEC and our country. At the same time Ukraine is planning on signing the Association Agreement with the EU.
