Chairman of the Constitutional Assembly and first President of Ukraine Leonid Kravchuk believes that the law on national referendum was adopted in violations of the Constitution he told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.

"I consider that the referendum law was adopted in violation of section XIII of the Constitution. And the Venice Commission made its comments. This means that it is necessary to amend the law on the national referendum, so that it can meets all standards," Kravchuk said.

At the same time, he noted that it is the position of both the Constitutional Assembly and the Venice Commission.
