Leader of the Party of Regions faction Oleksandr Yefremov considers that the opposition insists on holding the elections of people's deputies in problematic constituencies in September to hinder the process of European integration of Ukraine, he told parliamentary journalists, ForUm correspondent reports.
"We understand well what happens around. If the opposition wants to call the elections on the eve of the summit in Vilnius, then there will be probably provocations to show that Ukraine is not a country that can be included in the free trade area and with which an Association Agreement can be signed. Everything is done consciously," Yefremov noted.
