Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych said that the demand of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to increase prices of natural gas for households is inadmissible, he said at a meeting with the parliament leaders on Wednesday, the president’s official web site reported.
"Those demands put forth by the IMF today are unacceptable for us. This is an increase in gas payments by the population. We cannot go for that. Because this could entail negative social consequences for the population," Yanukovych said.
