The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said that it is unnecessary to monitor the gradual implementation by Ukraine of the conditions for signing the Association Agreement with the EU, since positive dynamics of reform are required.

Deputy director of the Foreign Ministry’s press service Vasyl Zvarych said that the Foreign Ministry had proposed "moving away from mechanical control over the fulfillment or non-fulfillment of any provisions allegedly required to sign the association agreement."

"We’re confident that we don’t have to count certain points. We should mobilize all efforts of all government bodies, non-governmental organizations, experts and the media to ensure that we achieve tangible progress in reform and in key areas," he told a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday, Interfax-Ukraine informed.

He said the concept for Ukraine’s cooperation with the EU at this stage is to maintain positive trends in conducting systemic reform.

"After signing the Association Agreement, Ukraine should be able to strengthen these processes even more actively, using new opportunities and mechanisms for this that will be given to us by the Association Agreement," Zvarych said.
