The overhaul of one of the main highways in Ukraine - Kyiv-Odesa - will begin this July, Ukravtodor chairman Yevhen Prusenko said live on the First National TV Channel.
"Critical remarks by drivers with respect to this road mainly concern the Kyiv-Zhashkiv section, which was actually not repaired for about 30 years. In 2004, the Zhashkiv-Krasnoznamianka section was thoroughly repaired and now it works smoothly. This year in July, we will begin the overhaul of the Kyiv-Bila Tserkva section of the Kyiv-Odesa highway. The section of the road from 13th to 17th kilometer will be repaired for budget money. The section from 17th to 87th kilometer of the road will be repaired using the loans of the EBRD and the European Investment Bank," Prusenko said, Ukrinform informed.
He said that it was planned to continue attracting credit resources to upgrade the road.
"Today, negotiations are being held on crediting the reconstruction of the section of the Kyiv-Odesa highway that has yet to be repaired," the Ukravtodor head said.
