
In 2012, the volume of foreign investment in agriculture sector of Ukraine grew by 6.4%, agrarian policy and food minister Mykola Prysyazhnyuk told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
"Last year, 16 billion UAH were invested in agriculture of Ukraine, which is by 11% more than in 2011. In addition, the foreign investors are showing a growing interest in the agricultural sector. For example, in 2012, the volume of foreign direct investment in agriculture increased by 6.4% compared to 2011," the minister said.
According to him, analysts predict that the Ukrainian agroindustrial companies in the next 5-10 years will be able to attract 20-30 billion dollars. "Today, the state agricultural policy is aimed at ensuring macroeconomic stability, guaranteeing of property rights and introduction of a transparent land turnover and efficient public-private partnership," Prysyazhnyuk summed up.
