
Ukraine and the Republic of Belarus should intensify bilateral relations, as there is significant potential for their development, President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych said during the Ukrainian-Belarusian talks in an expanded format, ForUm learned from the press service of the President.
According to Yanukovych, the two countries are set to use more fully the possibilities of cooperation in various fields.
According to the President, the existing contractual framework and new cooperation agreements should become a basis for enhancing cooperation among business circles of Ukraine and Belarus.
In return, President of Belarus Lukashenko noted that Belarus and Ukraine have already got some achievements in bilateral cooperation. In particular, it concerns the level of trade, establishment of joint ventures, operating in both countries. However, according to the President of Belarus, the level of cooperation is insufficient.
