Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said that the issue of release of Yulia Tymoshenko may be decided only by the court, he said in an interview with the RFI radio station during the air show at Le Bourget near Paris, Ukrinform informs.

"This question should be addressed not to me but to our judicial system. Only the court may decide whether to release her or not," Mykola Azarov said, answering the question whether Tymoshenko will further serve her sentence.

The Prime Minister also said that the trial of Yulia Tymoshenko is fully open, all the materials of the trial are also open. "Anyone who wants to ask what, in fact, Ms. Tymoshenko is accused of may ask and, the same as in France (in the trial of Sarkozy - Ed.), gain access to all the materials," Azarov said.

In his opinion, debate on the subject may be as long as possible, but the root of the problem is mainly the violation of the law committed by Tymoshenko. "How to respond to these violations of the law is decided by a court, not the Prime Minister. I think in France, the Prime Minister does not interfere with judicial affairs either," the head of the Ukrainian government said.
