Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych is confident that Ukraine and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will continue to fruitfully cooperate, he stated in his congratulatory message on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the EBRD's activity in Ukraine, the press service of the head of state reported.
"I am confident that Ukraine and the EBRD will continue to develop fruitful and mutually beneficial cooperation, which meets the current needs of the national economy and the strategic course towards European integration," Yanukovych said.
He noted that EBRD assistance is important to Ukraine, particularly in the context of improving the business environment, developing export potential and implementing infrastructure and energy projects, as well as energy efficiency policy.
