
The United Nations issued a report data on prospects of the population, according to which Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Cuba and Romania were included to the list of countries, where the proportion of the population would be reduced by 15% by 2050, Radio Liberty informed.
According to the UN forecasts, the world population will amount to more than 8.1 billion people by 2025 and to 9.6 billion people by 2050.
Countries that are developing will have the most stable growth. The African continent will have the fastest growing population. The population of the developed countries will remain virtually unchanged.
Meanwhile, India will become the most populated country, overtaking China.
