Basic tax rates, such as VAT, will only go down, Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said during the first International Annual Business Conference ABC: Ukraine & Partners, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to him, it concerns taxes on income and on revenues of physical persons.
"The number of existing taxes has been already reduced twice. At the same time, excises and taxes on luxury can be increased," the head of government noted.
As for increasing excises on beer, Azarov stressed that it is necessary to study this practice of other countries. "The decision has not been made yet. Our excises should not be higher than in neighboring countries," the official said.
