Energy and coal industry minister of Ukraine Eduard Stavytsky does not rule out that the new companies will appear and will buy gas from Russia to deliver it to Ukraine.
"There is Ostchem, in particular. I think there will be others," Stavytsky told a briefing.
As a reminder, in April, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the forecast balance of the receipt and distribution of natural gas in 2013 with import of 27.3 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas.
According to the document, 18 bcm are expected from Gazprom, 8 bcm from businessman Dmytro Firtash’s Ostchem (Cyprus), and 1.3 bcm from RWE Supply & Trading GmbH (Germany).
