
During the 18th Central Europe Summit of Heads of States, Ukraine has not heard any negative comments about her European aspirations, President Viktor Yanukovych of Ukraine said this to reporters in Bratislava, the press service of the head of state reported.
"Today, we have not heard from any country a negative attitude towards the European aspirations of Ukraine, or anything concerning Ukraine's failure to meet certain criteria. We have the homework and the work that we have to do before November," Viktor Yanukovych said.
At the same time, he stressed that Ukraine is already working on Implementation of the laws adopted in the framework of reforms bringing the country closer to European standards.
The issue of European integration was the main issue during meetings at the Summit of Heads of State of Central Europe, he added.
Yanukovych stressed that European integration is a strategic goal of Ukraine, which is enshrined in the law on principles of domestic and foreign policy.
