Modern and high quality control of customs affairs allows improving the conditions to conduct the international trade, first deputy incomes and fees minister Stepan Deryvolkov declared, speaking at the conference "Foreign economic activity: new ways of partnership between business and government," ForUm correspondent reports.

He reminded that the Customs Code was developed and introduced in Ukraine.

According to him, Ukraine has a goal to reduce the time for movement of goods across the border, the number of documents that are available at the customs, the time for customs formalities and expense of entrepreneurs.

Deryvolko noted that there are positive results even today. During 2013, the list of goods requiring the state control has decreased by 33.6%. Thus, the time for customs control of cargo transport vehicles at the checkpoints has decreased almost by half.

The customs authorities carry out inspections of only 3% of customs declarations, while according to the EU obligations, this number can be up to 5%.

He noted that the mechanisms will be developed and implemented to pass customs registration more quickly and cross the border.
