Ukraine has significant potential to very soon become the world's largest exporter of agricultural products, president of the Chamber of Commerce of Ukraine Hennady Chyzhykov said during discussion "Investing in the agrarian sector of Ukraine. Feed the world together" as part of the 1st International Annual Business Conference ABC: Ukraine & Partners, ForUm correspondent reports.
"Having its fertile land, our country may soon become a major exporter of agricultural products, and today it is the largest exporter of sunflower oil and grain," he noted.
In addition, Chyzhykov stressed that today Ukraine also has the fourth largest number of certified IT professionals, and the country has a great potential in the tourism industry.
According to him, the economic situation in Ukraine can be significantly improved by attracting foreign investment and the use of advanced and innovative technologies.
Chizhikov expects the Association Agreement with the EU will positively influence the state of the Ukrainian economy and foreign trade of the country.
At the same time, he said that Ukraine needs to develop trade relations with neighboring countries, in particular with the countries of the CIS.
