Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych signed a decree on urgent measures to speed up economic reform, the press service of the head of state reported.
"The head of state instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to take a number of systematic steps to improve the investment climate, improve the system of state control in the sphere of economic activity and speed up reform in the sphere of the provision of administrative services. The government should speed up measures to simplify the business environment, in particular, to review the documents regulating urban development in order to update their content and simplify regulatory procedures," reads the statement, Ukrinform informed.
The State Service for Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship Development was ordered to prepare legislative amendments to improve the functioning of state supervision (control) agencies, in particular, to reduce the list of relations that are not subject to the law on the fundamental principles of state supervision in the sphere of economic activity and to narrow the grounds for unscheduled inspections.
The President paid special attention to the intensification of reform in the sphere of the provision of administrative services. In particular, he urged the government to accelerate the drafting of a bill on the list of administrative services and a fee for their provision and ensure the creation of a network of respective centers.
In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers with the participation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry should take measures to support the promotion of local goods and services on foreign markets.
