Bread in Kyiv will not rise in price, first deputy chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration Anatoliy Holubchenko stated, ForUm correspondent reports.
"We receive cheap flour, and there cannot be any rise in bread prices," he stressed.
According to Holubchenko, the strike at Kyivkhlib has a political character.
"They do not want the bread to be brought to the city not from Kyiv ... You never know what someone wants. We are not able to ban import. This is a competition. When people choose another bread factory, so it is necessary to think about the quality," the official said.
He said that a commission has been already established to study this issue.
