President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych held a telephone conversation with President of the Slovak Republic Ivan Gašparovič, the press service of the head of state reports.
Yanukovych thanked the President of the Slovak Republic for the invitation to participate in the 18th summit of heads of states of Central Europe in Bratislava. The two leaders discussed issues on the agenda of the summit, which began today.
The parties discussed issues on the European integration of Ukraine. According to the President of Ukraine, both Ukraine and the EU are interested in early signing of the Association Agreement.
During a conversation the heads of states noted the traditionally high level of mutual understanding and constructive dialogue between Ukraine and the Slovak Republic.
