Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov instructed vice Prime Minister Kostyantyn Hryshchenko and education and science minister Dmytro Tabachnyk to inspect all schools and kindergartens.

"School year is over in the institutions of secondary and primary education. It is time to renovate schools. I instruct the Education Ministry to conduct an in-depth inspection of the institutions," Azarov said during the Cabinet’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.

According to him, no school in bad repair should remain in Ukraine by new academic year.

PM stressed that a lot of unresolved issues are to be solved this year.

"This is central water supply of schools, equipment of toilets in the building, upgrading of school canteens, each should respond to the contemporary health and safety standards," Azarov said.

Prime Minister recalled that 431 thousand first-graders went to school last year, and there will be even a greater number of them this year.
