The majority does not plan to hold extraordinary session of the Parliament this week, representative of the Head of State in the Verkhovna Rada Yuri Miroshnichenko told ForUm correspondent on June 11.

"We do not plan to hold an extraordinary meeting this week, although there was such an initiative and signatures were collected," he said.

Miroshnichenko also recalled that the President is willing to meet with representatives of the parliamentary groups. "Unfortunately, there are refusals, as opposition sets additional conditions. However, possibility of such a meeting remains this week," he noted.

At the same time, the MP informed that if the Parliament is blocked the following week as well, the Party of Regions may decide to hold a so-called field sitting without opposition. "Such a meeting may be held during the plenary week, unless there is an opportunity to work in the hall. It is possible but not desirable. We expect that we will still work in the same hall with the opposition," he stressed.
