Speaking at the Committee on Economic Reforms meeting, President Viktor Yanukovych threatened ministers with relevant "solutions" for delaying implementation of health reform, ForUm correspondent reports.
President stressed that ministers and officials will be punished for delaying implementation of the National Action Plan for 2013 on reforming the healthcare field.
"The task was set. We had a goal, we saw how the pilot regions worked. It’s enough experiments. We have seen that the mechanism works, we need to move to other regions and start working," he said.
Yanukovych also stressed that medical reform was not implemented in all the regions with the same success. According to him, some regional leaders discredited the reform. He noted that it particularly concerns family medicine.
With regard to emergency medicine, according to the President, good roads are needed for successful implementation of reforms in this sphere. He stressed that their construction should be a priority for the Cabinet.
The President also stressed the need to complete the reform in the field of maternal and child health, in particular to create perinatal centers throughout Ukraine.
