
President Viktor Yanukovych is dissatisfied with pace to reduce unemployment rate and create new jobs in Ukraine, he said, speaking at a meeting of the Committee on Economic Reforms, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to him, in March, the number of unemployed people in the country decreased by 18 thousand persons and in April - by 37 thousand. "But that is not enough," he said.
The President insists on the necessity to develop effective mechanisms to create new jobs.
In addition, he said that a lot will depend on the State Employment Service. "The main priority of the updated service is to move from financing of the unemployed people to effective interventions to reduce their numbers and stimulate job creation," Yanukovych stressed.
