Ukrainian donors donate about 350 thousand liters of blood over year, head of the healthcare reform and development department of the Healthcare Ministry Yevhen Morozov told press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.
"Every year, more than 600 thousand donors donate about 350 thousand liters of blood," the doctor said.
He recalled that the World Blood Donor Day is marked on 14 June, which this year takes place under the motto "Give life - become blood donors".
Today, the second stage of the project "Your blood drop - beginning of sea of life” has started in Shevchanko Park in Kyiv. Participants distribute to all passers-by in the park information materials, which indicate where you can donate blood.
Moroz added that such events are held throughout Ukraine these days.
