Ukraine is an example for the European countries in the fight against counterfeit medicines, head of the department for criminal law of the Directorate General of Human Rights and the Rule of Law of the Council of Europe Carlo Keromonte told a press conference in Kyiv, ForUm correspondent reports.
He stressed that the issue on falsified medicines is global and needs a joint solution by the international community. "We need together to stop criminals who earn billions," he said.
In his view, the responsibility for falsifying medicines should not be milder than for drug trafficking.
