Chicken meat supply in the EU will not be large till November 2013, since Ukrainian exporters will have to pay protective duties to sell their products in the EU, director general of the Association "Union of Poultry Breeders of Ukraine" Oleksandr Bakumenko said.
According to him, fee depends on the type of product, ranging from 140 EUR to 800 EUR per ton.
Large shipments to the EU can be expected only after November 28 -29, 2013, when the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement, including FTA agreement will be signed at the "Eastern Partnership" summit in Vilnius (Lithuania). "Then we will be able to export 20 thousand tons of products with zero duty, and now it is hardly beneficial to someone," Bakumenko said.
He added that domestic producers will be able to start exports of chicken meat to the EU within a month.
