Doctors from the Berlin-based Charite Hospital have arrived in Kharkiv to see former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, who is undergoing treatment at Central Clinical Hospital No. 5, deputy health minister Oleksandr Tolstanov declared.
He said that a car with the doctors arrived at the hospital at about 8 am.
He expressed his belief that the German specialists would confirm conclusions of the Ukrainian doctors about improving the health of Tymoshenko.
On October 11, 2011, Pechersky District Court in Kyiv sentenced Tymoshenko to seven years in prison for abuse of office when signing gas contracts with Russia in 2009. She has served her prison term in Kachanivska Penal Colony in Kharkiv since late December 2011. Tymoshenko is currently undergoing medical treatment in a hospital in Kharkiv. The tactics and medical treatment of the ex-premier are determined by German doctors from Charite Hospital (Berlin).
