Drug use is becoming less popular among youth. Such a positive trend was noticed by
the Interior Ministry of Ukraine.
"In recent years drugs and smoking have become not very fashionable. Young people primarily see their future related with studies, sports, healthy lifestyle. Perhaps, times and values change," head of the anti-narcotics department of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine Oleh Shkolny said in interview.
At the same time, he expressed regret that this is just a trend, and there are certain categories of young people trying drugs and becoming addicted.
When asked what drugs are used by Ukrainian youth, he said: "Smoking blends, marijuana, some medications are popular".
As for the distribution of drugs in entertainment establishments, then, according to the department head, this year anti-narcotics police have checked 14 thousand bars, restaurants, night clubs, in which 417 people, involved in illicit trafficking of narcotic substances, were detained.
